Twilight: New Moon Movie Poster

my art direction is always "monsterism"

Pete Fowler (born 1969 in Cardiff) is a Welsh artist best known for his artwork for the Welsh band Super Furry Animals. He is a freelance illustrator and "monster creator" inspired by Japanese art, folklore, myths, psychedelia and super nature. He has also done a number of other projects in the UK and Japan, such as television advertisements (Kia Picanto), as well as having art exhibitions all over the world. Fowler works in a variety of media, including drawing, painting, animation, and sculpture.

Fowler's art is done in a postmodern cartoon style. His work revolves around a central narrative and features a recurring set of characters. The "monsters" Fowler creates all reside on "Monsterism Island." Fowler invents extensive back-stories for his characters; each has its own specific traits and levels of "monsterism." Fowler is most known for his designer toys of his characters, which he himself manufactures with his own company.

A CD called The Sounds of Monsterism Island was released in 2005 by Heavenly Records. According to the press release "The record is a compilation album that works as a soundtrack to the world of Monsterism...The album features psychedelic music from the '60s through to today, much of it unearthed and put on CD for the first time." In 2006, Fowler created a set of comics about Monsterism Island which have been featured in Vice Magazine. Fowler's website features short Flash animations of his characters, and Fowler has stated that he is preparing a set of animated films.

The second soundtrack to Monsterism Island will be released by Lo recordings in early 2009 and features mostly new compositions by a host of contemporary musicians.

more details for my interface decision

I have decided to launch with my interface design based on the title "how to drift?"

1) my first page interface would involve more on explanations of what "FF", "FR", "MR" and "4WD" is, so i will touch on how to drift with an FF car, meaning a front wheel drive, and as for FR it means rear wheel drive cars, then the MR spec would be a rear engine plugged with rear wheel, then last but not least the 4WD would be the all wheel drive. all the cars above are totally different in terms of technique and the understanding of controlling it.

2) videos and pictures would be included one by one. sound clips might be included and then there will be a page that leads you to a drift bible done by the Japanese, then real Malaysian drifter's interviews would be included as well to help support my site.

3) then i will roughly story-fy you on how much would drifting really cost, especially on the tires and the turbine, then the brakes and so on. and workshop ads that can help you by letting you know where to spend your money wisely before you set your car off for drifting.

how to drift "tutorial" (my decision)

1) how to drift
2) how to help save global warming
3) how to talk to a girl

today i was supposed to attend my digital media 2 class, i woke up so early in the morning, with full energy and force "actually sleepy as hell" waakakakaka, anyway back to my main point. yea so i was on my way to college then suddenly, kaboom! my rear left tire exploded, not flat but literally kabooom-ed, so i couldnt attend class, "sorry WK"..so these are the pictures and i accidently hit a curb so u can see the damages on the pictures above..heartache wei aih, so the total damage costed me:

Tires 17" left (Hankook) - RM380
Tires 17" right (Hankook) - RM380
Front Chargespeed bumper Fixing - RM150
Front Bumper Respray - RM70
Front Subaru S204 Diffuser - RM800
Power Steering Computer Box - RM1800
Power Steering Setting - RM35
Brake Fluids - RM25

so the total damage cost was around RM3640 plus service charge around RM20..
going broke cause by all this shits, so please drive safe. when an accident is caused, body hurt not so pain, wallet sacrifice money, heart more pain..nothing can cure, drive safe..aih

Teeeeeeennnt..! rejected, he wants to see something more from me, he wants something more different, well he claims that my art direction is fantastic but my idea is boring, he wants something more. how much is more? i going full force on this..more research to do, and i still got my figures to do, and i havent even photocopied my full face pictures from the magazines..die die die, going to go shower now and then gonna go out to have my "dinner + supper = diper" with my baby..its already 9 something now, wonder if there is still nice foods outside..waiting for her to shower then she's coming over to my place, and the distance from her place to my place is just 4 steps, cause she's my neighbour..wakaka what are the odds? haha

Cheeky's birthday dinner at Subang Parade T.G.I. Friday's, pictures are here..=)

Fly me to the Moon!

Frank Sinatra's ever famous old time song, "Fly me to the Moon". what does it gotta do with me? beats me, i have no idea. its my lastest current assignment for Digital Media 2,
and i am now supposed to design out a flash video that relates to "Fly me to the Moon".
this is a rough adobe illustator skecth for progress showing.
most people plan on creating an angel flying up to the moon, or probably a bird or a rocket ship, but this time im gonna try something else, i wanna try money. its more realistic that way, money does fly away every single day..wakakaka

please leave some comment or suggestion to help me with my work, thanks=)

Last year's photoshoot with Rocky's car

Last year around November, Rocky's got him an old 1996 JDM old skool Honda Prelude tagged with a H22a1 engine, and my photographer Mark was really interested to take our pictures for his own photography portfolio so me and Rocky decided to make it a go.

here are the pictures, enjoy=)

The Reason

the reason i started this blog is because i am now currently in my major year of my multimedia subject in college, and today in class my lecturer demands us to at least have a blog and most prefered, "blogspot". so here i am, wakakaka..
anyway the purpose of this blog is for me to post up my works and progress for my college lecturers to mark and at the same time to give me comment on my work.

so i guess soon i will be busy posting up pictures and flash videos up here. so stay tuned..=)
